The Makeup Show in Review

I am so excited about the new techniques and products I picked up at The Makeup Show. Got to use them these past two weekends and I am truly impressed with the advanced formulas of these products. Just giving you another reason to hire a professional makeup artist for your special events. These eye creams are used for underwater photo shoots and an aquatic ballet troupe. They are beautiful and they absolutely do not budge. And..talk about perfect skin. The ladies looked like they stepped out of the pages of a fashion magazine ad that had been photo shopped yet they said they didn't feel like they were wearing anything on their face.
Hooray! Mission accomplished.
Thank you Dany Sanz who came to the US from Paris just for this event and for the few selected participants of this workshop.

Spring Forward at Joya beauty

Ok...so it is mud season outside but that doesn't mean you can't pretend that it is Spring with a bright spot of color.

My favorite this season is called "girlie" and it is the most beautiful shade of rosey pink...even I can wear it. It is already sold out and back ordered so that means the big name brands will be featuring it in their packaging.

Come on in and play with the new colors and textures of makeup...get a fresh new look over a cup of tea.

Just arrived...new fall makeup colors and a surprise!

You might not be ready for Fall to be here but next week really is the first of September! Back to school time signals the time for a change and let's face it...we all like to go shopping for just a little something.
Come in and refresh your makeup palette with the latest colors and formulations. Experience the mix of fresh sophistication and elegance with the irresistible runway influence of the unexpected and unconventional.
Now the surprise...lower left corner of the photo is a little silver box with an "X" on it.
This is by far the best lip re-volumizing product I have tried so far.
It is super lightweight, hydrates, soothes and volumizes with a lip response technology (no stinging) that remodels, repairs and continuously re-plumps. My lips felt full and smooth...and yes...younger looking! My new fall lipstick looked fabulous all day.

Limited Edition Makeup Artist Palettes - timeless new look

Did you ever want to learn how to do your own makeup like the pros do for fashion photo shoots? Now you can and it really is as simple as ABC. Come visit for a makeup lesson and I will show you. These palettes follow the principles of the Chinese Elements. Let's explore the one that speaks to you. Mix and match or use with some of your favorites to create a new look.
Having actually been on those photo shoots assisting celebrity makeup artists I can show you the techniques and I have the products professional makeup artists use.

Come for a visit to Joya beauty and bring the makeup products you currently use. We will mix and match to create a palette for every day to any special events you attend.
Totally personal creative makeup artistry from my kit to yours.

PS: Please leave me a comment or questions and I will use them to create a Q&A for others that probably would like to know the same thing.

Fall Makeup at Joya beauty

I know...it is hard to think about Fall fashions and makeup colors when we are trying to make the summer last just a little bit longer. No worries...because you can have your colors custom blended at the Joya beauty studio you can savor the summer for a few more weeks.

The new cream to powder shadows are in stock now and I would love to show you how to use them.
Call me 603-534-3412 for your Fall Makeup appointment and let's also talk about getting your summer skin ready for the coming holiday parties!

When you are ready to dabble in some new colors here is a sneak preview into what is happening:

Fall is all about radiant skin…nothing overly powdered or shiny. The focus is still on perfect skin that looks fresh and has a sateen feel.

Gold is the metal color of choice applied to the eyes with a bold eyeliner that achieves a totally modern look.

There are two palettes this season…
The Bold, graphic look with lots of different textures - cream shadows that dry to a lovely wearable powder and then layered with accent powder shadow. Vintage dark plum shown as the color of the season with warm gold and peach tones are adventurous and for the risk takers. Jewel tones, metallics and shimmers - vibrant green mixed with a glistening metallic make those shorter days a bit more sparkly.
As a contrast the second palette is cool and neutral. It accentuates the Matte trend. Barely blushing the cheeks in soft pink and warm spice tones to create that flawless skin look. Very simply but with a smudge of the deep purple eyeliner is still very dramatic and smoldering.
